We didn’t remove the baseboards in this house because they are 6-inch-tall custom baseboards that are only available through special order. But if you really don’t want to deal with removing it, that’s okay, too.

If you have run-of-the-mill baseboard, I’d recommend removing if before installation – it’ll save you having to install shoe moulding or quarter-round moulding after the floor is installed.
